Who am I...

Hello, I'm glad you decided to check out my blog. I thought I'd start out by telling a little about myself. I am 29 years old...Yikes my last good year! J/K I am married to a great man and my best friend. I am currently going to school, working on my Bachelor's degree in Social Services. I work at a company called TCH as a DTA Coordinator, which basically means that I work with people with developmental disabilities. I am in charge of training supervisors and other staff, I go to meetings, and am the DTA Manager's assistant. That's all I really know of the job so far because I am just starting this position. I'll explain more if there is something interesting later. I live in Phoenix, AZ and have a brother and a sister. My brother currently lives here in Phoenix and my sister lives in Boise, ID. My mom passed away last year and my dad is still living here in Youngtown, AZ. I am a very positive person for the most part and try to view everyday as a gift. The death of my mom really had a huge impact on my life and I have kind of become a different person because of it. Before, I was really into success and trying to have nice things and stuff. Now, I don't really care much about stuff. Life is so short and it can all end in an instant. You never know when your time is up. So, I have pretty much dedicated my life to helping people. I try at every opportunity to give of myself in some way. I think is more about the impact that you make on others then the stuff you accumulate while here. You can't take anything with you, except maybe your memories. I think it best to have them be worth looking back on. People are what matter. I love God and have absolutely no doubt that Jesus died on the cross for my sins and anyone elses who believes in him. I have changed in this over the last two years too. I would have never called myself a Christian two years ago, but now I say it proudly. I have seen too much proof to be able to ever discount the facts around Jesus' sacrifice for us and how he lived as the greatest example to us. There are a lot of people that believe that Jesus was a great prophet, but don't believe that he is the son of God. I guess that would make since if it weren't for what Jesus himself said. If he were the greatest prophet ever to live, shouldn't we look at that? If he himself said, "I am the truth, the light, and the way," doesn't that have some meaning? I don't know...I guess I'm rambling now, but this is a great question to me. It is something that I just can't seem to get. There is just soooo much proof of Jesus' life and what he meant to the people at the time...including Jews and non believers. He had too big of an impact to not matter. If you think about it, the Bible is either the HUGEST truth in history or the HUGEST lie. I would think that it would be worth looking into. Ah well...I guess I'll stop rambling now. I hope I haven't turned you all off by my meandering thoughts. Either way...Glory to God, my Lord and Savior...he makes me everything I am and everything I will ever be.
